In this tutorial, I show how I built a smart temperature monitoring and control system using the PIC16F877A microcontroller and the LM35 temperature sensor, simulated in Proteus.
This project reads temperature data using the LM35 sensor, converts the analog signal using the PIC16F877A ADC module, and then automatically controls external devices based on the temperature level.
The system performs three main tasks:
Measures temperature using the LM35 sensor
Displays real-time temperature on a 16×2 LCD
Automatically controls a fan and heater depending on temperature thresholds
When the temperature rises above the set limit, the fan turns ON to cool the system. When the temperature drops below the lower threshold, the heater activates to increase the temperature.
