This JavaScript tutorial for beginners will teach you how to find the index position of an element or word in a string. The syntax has two arguments or parameters, the first one being the search element and the second being the position at which the search will start. If the search position is not provided as a parameter, then, the default value of zero is considered for the search whereby, the first position in a string for any character/element is considered as 0 position.
