SQL Server Discovery Report
SQL Server setup comes up with the option of the SQL Server Discovery Report to validate the features of SQL Server installed with the version details. SQL Server Discovery report can find and report all SQL Server features and versions from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2019.
You can execute a discovery report from the SQL Server installation center or directly calling setup.exe from the command line.
For each execution of the SQL Server Discovery report, report saved to %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\nnn\Setup Bootstrap\Log\last Setup Session.
Run SQL Server Discovery Report from Installation Center
Step 1: Open Installation Center
Step 2: Installation Center Window
Step 3: Go to Tools , Click on “Installed SQL Server features discovery report”
Run SQL Server Discovery Report from Command line (CMD)
Step 1: Open CMD and Browse to location of SQL Server Setup
Step 2: Run Command “Setup.exe /q /Action=RunDiscovery”. /q is for silent execution in background.
Where Discovery Report saved?
