MID function is a text function used in excel to extract the substring from the center of a string.

MID in excel returns a certain number of characters or a substring based on the starting point and the number of characters you specify.

= MID (text, start_num, num_chars)

text = It's the text you want the substring to extract.

start_num = the starting position of the substring.

num_chars = the numbers of characters of the substring.

If the start num is larger than the string length, the Excel MID function returns empty text.
