AWS Lambda with Python - beyond "Hello World"
This is the first in a new series on AWS Lambda. We're building a basic function using the AWS Console to demonstrate the core components. This video goes beyond the basics to explain how the Lambda execution environment works, the lifecycle of an invocation, and the critical difference between cold and warm starts.
We'll understand what event-driven means, the Lambda execution model (including cold vs. warm starts), stateless architecture and automatic scaling.
We'll explore the Lambda console, write and test Python code, use the context object, configure environment variables and check the logs in CloudWatch.
