When you need to view the same list of child records in a parent-level detail view, but you want to see them using a different type of view - this walkthrough is for you.

This setup will allow you to have two views of the same list. For example:
A table & a chart
where the details of both are the same records, but the views are different

----| THE PROCESS |----

STEP 1: Create a slice of your child table
STEP 2: Create a view for your slice
STEP 3: Copy the [Related Whatever] column on your parent table
STEP 4: Change the REF_ROWS() so it uses the slice (instead of the root table)

To help ensure we're all on the starting point, I've created a (very) simple basic references sample app. The idea is simple: I provide you with the same starting point, so if you follow the steps in this video you should end up at the same ending point I do in the video.
