PureBasic Editor - Edition - PureBasic 101
Learn the fundamentals of PureBasic. In this PureBasic 101 series, I cover the language, the IDE, the tools and some programming tips and techniques.
In this episode, I demonstrate the standard edition features (available in most source code or text editors) and special edition features (available only in PureBasic)
The keys or shortcuts used
STANDARD EDITION
Cursor Moves
insert (ins) : toggle between insertion and replacement cursor
TAB (⇥) : insert spaces or tabulation charater (no text selected)
delete (del,sSuppr) : removes a character on the right
backspace (back, ⌫) : removes a character on the left
CTRL+delete : removes a word on the right
CTRL+backspace : removes a word on the right
CTRL+C : copies the selected text
CTRL+X : cuts the selected text
CTRL+V : pastes the copied or cut text
CTRL+Z : undo the last action
CTRL+Y : redo an undone action
SPECIAL EDITION
TAB (⇥) : increase the indentation of selected text
SHIFT+TAB (⇥) : decrease the indentation of selected text
CTRL+I : format the selected text
CTRL+B : comments out the selected lines
CTRL+SHIFT+B : uncomment the selected lines
CTRL+SHIFT+V : pastes the copied or cut text as a comment
CTRL+D : duplicates the selected text
CTRL+SHIFT+↑ : moves the selected lines up one line
CTRL+SHIFT+↓ : moves the selected lines down one line
CTRL+E : increase the indentation of comments at the end of the selected lines
CTRL+SHIFT+E : decrease the indentation of comments at the end of the selected lines
