React Native Tutorial Step 26 – Adding Update Functionality to Profile
We're on the Profile screen again! It feels like we've been here a million times, but don't worry, we will come back another million times! 😁
Today, we're just going to add a couple things.
ProTip: If you're a one man show building on an idea, then just start. Forget about how the end product will look like. You will build an MVP (minimum viable product) and iterate on that.
Now, let's get onto the code:
TODO #1: Edit the Profile.
The changes:
Added Left, Right from Native-Base.
Added getGoals() that will concatenate our goals into a comma-separated string, because our goals is represented as a comma-separated string in the database.
Added submit() function that updates our profile
Added styling for the Container.
Added Header block that will give us a header with the ability to save our updated profile or open the drawer.
TODO #2: Add Style.js for Search - containers/Search/Search/styles.js
TODO #3: Add statusBarHeaderPadding to src/containers/User/styles.js
That's all we need to do for this tutorial. On to the next one! 💪
