In this video , I have discussed the SQL String Functions which include
1. Convert Text (UPPER, LOWER)
Definition:
Convert text functions are used to change the case of characters in a string, such as converting all letters to uppercase or lowercase.
UPPER() → Converts all letters to uppercase.
LOWER() → Converts all letters to lowercase.
2. Combine Text (CONCAT)
Definition:
Combine text functions are used to join two or more strings together into a single string.
CONCAT() → Combines multiple text values into one.
3. Extract Text (SUBSTRING, LEFT, RIGHT)
Definition:
Extract text functions are used to retrieve a specific part of a string from a given position.
SUBSTRING() → Extracts a portion of a string.
LEFT() → Returns characters from the left side of a string.
RIGHT() → Returns characters from the right side of a string.
4. Modify Text (REPLACE, TRIM)
Definition:
Modify text functions are used to change or clean the content of a string.
REPLACE() → Replaces a specific part of a string with another value.
TRIM() → Removes extra spaces from the beginning and end of a string.
5. Measure Text (LENGTH)
Definition:
Measure text functions are used to count the number of characters present in a string.
LENGTH() → Returns the total number of characters in a string.
