Maya API - TD Series :: Simple C++ & Python Plugin Development
Hello, welcome back to the Maya API TD Series. In this episode, we are going to create a simple C++ plugin and call the functionality from Pyside2 UI in Maya. This covers both the C++ side and the Python side as well. This video gives you a basic understanding of how a plugin can be developed for Maya C++ and Python production.
This video assumes you have already set up both Visual Studio and Pycharm for Maya development. If you would like to see how to, please watch my previous tutorial on this topic links are here. In this video, I use Visual Studio 2022, PyCharm 2023.2.3 Professional Edition, and Maya 2024. If you have a different version of software no problem, the development process is pretty much the same.
