Introduction to JavaScript for Frontend Web Development - Coding Tutorials by Umar Khan
This is the first video in a series on intermediate web development. What differentiates this playlist from the previous one I created for basic web development is that in this series, we dive into JavaScript, which most of the Web runs on in terms of making dynamic and interactive web pages and web applications. Also, we will cover more advanced CSS techniques as we progress through the videos here.
In this video, we'll build a simple web page and introduce JavaScript as a means to manipulate HTML elements programmatically. We'll create a page that displays the last time the page was loaded or refreshed. Additionally, the page will contain a button that, when clicked, causes a chessboard to disappear from the screen. And when the button is clicked again, it causes the chessboard to re-appear. So, we can say, the button will "toggle" the chessboard.
I'll also introduce CSS variables in this video as a way to make web pages more maintainable.
