When we are writing Python scripts for Abaqus, we may feel a bit blind and many doubts may arise regarding the arguments, data types, and names of the many methods available. The rpy and jnl files are a good guidance, but in many cases looking into the documentation is the best option.
🎯 If we use a Python IDE to write our Python scripts for Abaqus, such as VS Code, PyCharm... we realize that we cannot access the typical features of autocompletion or embedded documentation (aka intellisense). These are extremely handy and would save us tons of time when writing and debugging our scripts.
📺 In this video I want to show you how to enable these amazing features for your Python scripts in Abaqus thanks to the library abqpy: https://github.com/haiiliin/abqpy
