Rails API Tutorial Episode 09: REST vs JSONAPI
In this video I will show you some differences between REST and JSONAPI. I mean by REST the typical REST API while JSON:API I am referring the implementation that follow the JSON:API specification.
I will give you an example of a blog post to explain you what problems a JSONAPI can solve for us, as well as will compare both APIs in terms of request efficiency, writing data, documentation, configuration ... etc. At the end, I will drive you how do I rank JSONAPI above REST.
