re:WAKE
4 1/2 years ago I made a short with my little brother inspired by the CW's Supernatural, specifically the demon eyes effect (Here's the link! • Wake ). This short had several issues, though. The roto work on the eyes was inconsistent and enveloped his tear ducts, the color scheme was bland, and the sound was obviously DESTROYED by noise reduction.
Since then, my skills have vastly improved, and I wanted to challenge myself by completely remaking the short with the goal of giving it more story depth, improving the VFX, and generally making it more interesting. This is the first thing I've made that I could consider having a story. It's far from perfect, but it was a learning experience that I had a ton of fun with.
Give me feedback below! I'm mostly looking for feedback on sound design, editing, and color grading.
