In the moment, you understand the content in the video, but as soon as that video finishes, you're left feeling unconfident, lost and unable to code something from scratch.
The reason for this is that tutorials do not teach you how to code. They instead show you the steps required to build something.
I believe you should focus on tutorials to learn the fundamentals of that programming language, but after that, if you want to learn to code, you need to code real projects on your own. That doesn't mean you should get rid of tutorials all together - but to use them correctly.
