Bionic Blue v0.10.0 (action platformer game made with Python/pygame-ce) - IndiePython
Finally managed to schedule some time to work on Bionic Blue (a game of the Indie Python project), mostly this past November and start of December. For now I'll get back to my work on the Nodezator node editor.
As for the additions/changes on the game, I didn't have time to add new content, but managed to implement systems/services for the title screen and main menu and allow users to configure controls for keyboard and gamepad, as show in the video.
(the logos are not finished, they are mostly placeholder art or just need more passes before being complete)
Another cool change that is not shown in the video is that I managed to add the services needed for input recording and playback, which means the game itself can now record an entire play session in a file that can later be played in it. It still needs a few tweaks to take into account the ability to change the controls that I added recently, but I already tested it prior to that and it worked fine. The code was mostly from Nodezator actually, where this feature should be released in its next version (on February or so).
