This technical session will teach Web GIS administrators on how to use the ArcGIS Python API to automate most of their repetitive tasks and use scripts instead of using the UI and clicking their way through. It will demonstrate scripting of common administrative tasks such as setting up a Portal and populating it with users, groups, and content, migrating GIS resources from staging to production, checking credit consumption and usage statistics of GIS resources and content validation workflows. It will also cover strategies for scheduling these scripts to run at periodic intervals.
