Angular Material is a UI component library for Angular developers. Angular Material components help in building attractive, consistent, and functional web pages and web applications with support to modern web design principles like browser portability, device independence, and graceful degradation. It supports in creating faster, beautiful, and responsive websites. It is inspired by the Google Material Design. To add sorting behavior to the table, add the matSort directive to the table and add
mat-sort-header to each column header cell that should trigger sorting. Note that you have to import MatSortModule in order to initialize the matSort directive. The mat-sort-header and matSort, an Angular Directives, are used to add sorting capability to a table header.
