Requirements -
64-bit Windows computer
At least 4 GB RAM
At least 8 GB of Available Hard drive space
Run Command Prompt to see if you already have java downloaded
Search for Command Prompt on your computer
Type java -version
Hit Enter
It will show what version of Java you have on you computer, if it exists.
Type Javac
Hit Enter
This is to check to see if you have the java compiler. If it is installed on your computer it will who a bunch of text… if not it will say the javac is not recognized…
Download Java JDK 13
Visit https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/ja...
Download
Install using installation window (just click Next)
**Java Development Kit (JDK) – bundle of software components it includes Javac, JRE, JVM and more**
Set Environment Path Variable
Open jdk-… folder
Open bin folder
Copy path
Open Advance System Setting option on your computer
Click Environment Path
Edit Path
Paste path
***Path Variable tells your computer where to look for executable programs
Run Command Prompt to verify
Search for Command Prompt on your computer
Type Javac
Hit Enter
Should show a bunch of streaming text
Download Eclipse
Visit https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/
Download
Install using Installer Window
Look for warnings
Accept agreement and update
Select Eclipse IDE for Java Developers
Install and Accept
Select Default Workspace – Where do you want to save your work?
