I was looking for a console only IDE, i did not find it yet but I found bpython, which is the best i interactive shell I have seen so far.

I have used iPython and it is wonderful but IMHO bpython is even better, contextual help without tab tab

a persistant and useful history
the help doesn't awkwardly dissappear
the help stays contextual as you type

you can install it using:

pip install bpython

This demo was done, in #termux
on an #Android phone.

I use a bluetooth keyboard to help me get a reasonable one minute video
