JavaScript typeof
In JavaScript, the typeof operator returns a string representing the type of whatever operand you put to the right of typeof. Many of the base types have reasonable behavior with typeof. true and false are booleans. Numbers are numbers. Strings are strings. Functions are functions. undefined is of type undefined. Where it starts getting crazy is the type of null is object even though it is a primitive. The type of any non-primitive type that I have yet to mention is object. Even an array in JavaScript is of type object.
