DP is scary until I learned these 3 simple steps to approach DP questions and cracked my coding interviews as a software engineer (without a CS background). I'll share how I made Notion notes and code template docs when systematically prepping for my interviews, including a 1-line Python trick to memoize. Watch this video to get the intuition of DP Leetcode questions. The most effective way for me to learn DP is to understand the overall idea, and when solving Leetcode problems don't overthink and follow 3 steps to write the skeleton code first, then fill in the details. This is NOT a video walking through a specific Leetcode problem in detail (since I didn't watch such videos when prepping my coding interview), so I'll keep it short and sweet :) Bonus: I'll debunk what's dynamic about "dynamic programming" at the end.
