An array is a collection of one or more values of the same type, each with its own unique index number (subscript). It can be of any type, such as int, float, or char. In C, the index or subscript starts from 0, so the first element is at 0, the second is at 1, and so on. An array is a group of related items that store with a common name.
Arrays can be classified into three types: one-dimensional arrays, two-dimensional arrays, multi-dimensional arrays, and one-dimensional arrays. The syntax for declaring an array is as follows: datatype array_name [size].
Arrays can be initialized in two ways: compile time initialization and runtime initialization. To access elements, specify the array name followed by the subscript or index inside square brackets. The first valid subscript (i.e., 0) is known as the lower bound, while the last valid subscript is known as the upper bound.
