Follow these simple steps to fix it:
Step 1: Close VirtualBox (if it's open) to avoid conflicts.
Install Required Modules:
Debian/Ubuntu:
Open a terminal and run:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install build-essential module-assistant
Use code with caution.
Fedora:
Open a terminal and run (depending on your Fedora version):
Before Fedora 22:
sudo yum update
sudo yum install build-essential module-assistant
Fedora 22 and later:
sudo dnf update
sudo dnf install build-essential module-assistant
OpenSUSE:
sudo zypper update
sudo zypper install build-essential module-assistant
Note: I haven't tested on the fedora and openSuse, But this will be the common procedure. If not, works please let me know
in the comment section !
Step 3: Virtualbox driver setup (Optional) Run
sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup (might be deprecated on some systems).
Step 4: Restart VirtualBox services: Run
sudo /sbin/vboxconfig
Step 5: Re-launch virtualbox and try to run
Reboot your system (recommended for complete changes to take effect).
