One of the beauties of working with python is that you can use the python shell to try out snippets of code without the overhead of having to write a script. It's an extremely useful way to double check syntax and function outputs. But the default python shell has some irritating limitations. ipython is a much nicer command shell to work with.

This lab will take you through some of my favorite features and point you in the direction of the ipython documentation.

Requirements:

Please take a look at the Readme.md for the tutorial https://github.com/womenwhocodedc/pyt... and decide which option you'd like to use to get access to ipython for the tutorial.

**Note that if you take the first option, to use the free "launch binder" service, you will need to keep the session alive by interacting with it or binder will automatically clean your session up after 5-10 minutes.
