Building a Tailwind Grid Layout from a Design — Sections, Containers & Columns

Break a real design into a reusable layout system: sections, containers, and column splits (halves, thirds, quarters), then translate it directly into Tailwind grid classes in Tailwind Play — a repeatable method for turning any comp into a responsive grid.

In this video:
• Annotate a design to identify repeating sections, containers, and column patterns
• Standard splits (half/half, thirds, quarters) vs. non-standard nested layouts
• Build the base structure: full-width section → centered, width-constrained container → grid columns
• Apply Tailwind's mobile-first grid classes so columns stack on mobile and split at breakpoints
• Handle a 4-column row that needs to become 2x2 instead of 1x4
