QR Coding Scanner using React Native Getting Started

In this video, we cover installing the react-native-qrcode-scanner component for react native. It uses the react-native camera module to allow you to capture QR codes visible via the component.

If you want a full guide on installing the library and a step by step guide on setting up the dependencies, this should have you covered. We also cover a couple of extra things such as using react-native-qrcode-svg library to display the QR codes we scan and display them in a resizable SVG format.

This library works on both iOS and Android and is a great way to get started with QR codes for things such as membership cards, rewards or discount cards which all are able to capture QR code images.

The QR code scanner and QR code generator both run on javascript can be used with react native. Hopefully, this gives you some alternative perform a QR code scan if you are on environments like cordova or flutter.
