Checking for Repeating Characters in a Password Using Python - Simple Validation
Greetings, today we shall be covering another password validation method in Python. This tutorial will be looking at how to check if there is a sequence of repeating characters in a password.
Let's say your password will allow a character to be repeated 3 times in a row at most. The password "aaaSSSaaa" would be allowed as no character is repeated more than 3 times in a row. While this password does contain 6 a characters, as there is SSS in between them, each sequence of a characters doesn't go above the limit.
The password "aaaaSSSaa" would however be invalid with the maximum repeat sequence limit set to 3.
