NULL is the term which is used to represent a missing value. Or you can say that A NULL value in a table is a value in a field that appears to be blank.
When A field that has a NULL value is actually the field that has no value whatsoever and It is very important to understand that a NULL value is different from a zero or blank space.
A null value can cause a problem to your data preparation or in your data analysis because when you write a query to compare a known value to an unknown value which is in our case is null then the result is always unknown and it will not be included in the results.
