🌕 Create an EKS cluster using Terraform:
terraform init
terraform apply
🌕 Create logging-demo namespace
kubectl apply -f namespace.yaml
🌕 Deploy an App: The app will generate logs without any input.
kubectl apply -f app/demo-app-config-dep.yaml
kubectl get svc log-generator-jmx-exporter-service -n logging-demo
🌕 Deploy Fluent Bit as DaemonSet: Kubernetes will keep one Fluent Bit running on each EC2 node.
kubectl apply -f fluent/fluent-bit.yaml
🌕 Links the Fluent Bit K8s service account to an IAM role, make user Fluent Bit are able to access EC2 node log.
aws iam get-role --role-name eks-demo-ec2-node-group-role-01
kubectl annotate serviceaccounts fluent-bit -n logging-demo "eks.amazonaws.com/role-arn={your RAN}:role/eks-demo-ec2-node-group-role-01"
🌕 Update Control Plane Log Group Retention
aws logs put-retention-policy --log-group-name /aws/eks/eks-demo-cluster-01/cluster --retention-in-days 7
🌕 Destroys all the resources provisioned by Terraform
terraform destroy
