In the second part of this series we will dive into some actual angular code. We take a look at how we can create variable or properties on our list controller and then use those in our html.

There are two common ways of doing this and I will explain both. The first method seems to be the most common within beginner tutorials which is using $scope.

$scope is a service object within Angular that allows you to bind properties to it and those properties will then be accessible from inside the HTML as long as you are within the html that that particular controller has control of.

The second method abstracts away the $scope service (although it is still running in the background) and I prefer this way as I feel it is more explicit. This method is known as the "controller as" syntax. In the video I explain why I prefer this method over $scope. But you should feel free to use either method.
