The Shark House consists of a 25ft long fibreglass and steel sculpture of a shark, formally titled “Untitled 1986”, crashing through the roof of an otherwise average house on a quiet residential street in rural Oxford.
The sculpture is in part an international symbol of planning law defiance, anti-censorship, and anti-war. The city council voted last night to list the property locally, using the planning apparatus to allegedly "protect" artwork that is famously a planning law defiance.
