sp_execute_external_script to Push and Pull Python Data With SQL Server
SQL Server 2017 and above allows the use of Machine Learning languages such as Python and R directly in T-SQL using sp_execute_external_script. However, it's not always useful being able to simply run the code, we also want to pass data to the script in table and variable form along with receiving tables and variables back.
This video shows how we can do all of these using Python as our language (although this will work in just the same way for R).
