In this control engineering tutorial, we explain how to use the Python Control Systems Library. This is an open-source and free library for simulating and designing feedback control systems. In this tutorial, we explain how to define state-space models, compute step responses, compute step response characteristics, such as, rise time, settling time, rise time, etc. We also explain how to discretize the state-space models, and how to transform from state-space models to transfer functions, and vice versa.
