The Best Elevator! - Minecraft Command Block Tutorial
Welcome back to another Minecraft Tutorial! Today, I will be going over a feature of Command Blocks that will allow you to build a working elevator in Minecraft!! A basic elevator that connects only two floors can be built WITHOUT the use of MODS! This elevator was designed by me, AgentAndroid. The design I thought up is relatively easy to build and only requires redstone, a few pistons and two command blocks for the most part.
TO MAKE THE ELEVATOR STOP ON MORE THAN TWO FLOORS: All you have to do is download the RedPower mod and use a RedNet cable to connect everything instead of using redstone. The reason you cannot easily make the elevator stop on more than two floors with redstone is because the signal would not reach that far. The redstone signal can be extended using repeaters, however it would be a very complicated process that would take up a lot more space. This mod will allow you to connect redstone-powered blocks in a much easier way. It gives you the ability to run a signal vertically and at a far longer range than regular redstone would. NOTE, this mod is already included as part of the Tekkit and Voltz modpacks.
