Single-Bit Error Correction using CRCs
It turns out that the check bits calculated using cyclic redundancy check hardware can also be used for single error correction if the data length is within certain requirements. This video demonstrates how it works using a four-bit CRC circuit built from an internal linear feedback register (LFSR).
