I will do a live demo with an explanation about how to enable text compression in your web application. I will use a ReactJS web application bootstrapped using Create React App. The server is a Node Express.js server. By enabling gzip text compression, the files downloaded from the server are compressed and as a result, lesser payloads and bytes are downloaded over the network. This will make your website load faster and improve TTI (time to interactive) score. Finally, we do a Lighthouse Performance Audit and see if we have passed the compression test.
