This is just a quick video outlining a workflow i use to get better fine-grained control of my audio when recording game play and voice over using OBS Studio. There may be better ways of doing this and i'm open to learning if you have any suggestions. Its working for me right now and, it may work for you too.
NB. I noticed there is a channel mapping section in openshot after uploading this and so will look into that as that may be the key to separating the audio tracks correctly on the timeline.
Davinci Resolve under Linux requires some extra steps to be able to work with your source files. Resolve does now support native linux audio but, you have to convert your source video to a format Resolve supports otherwise you will see and hear nothing when importing your source material. Bit of a pain but, handbrake, ffmpeg are capable of converting your files to the required format(s) if you so wish.
