Iowa Rivers Revival
Master Rivers Stewards Program: Week 2
State Geologist of Iowa Keith Schilling
Director, Iowa Geological Survey

This video was shot at Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge outside of Prairie City, Iowa, and uses the contrasts in farmland and prairie to discuss how and why streams look and function the way they do in Iowa.

The video is part of the curriculum for the program and will be used in lieu of the "indoor lecture" part of the curriculum. Participants can review these ahead of the scheduled in-person session that would be the outdoor, experiential portion on a given topic. That would both shorten their in-person commitment time AND provide some consistency across the curriculum.
