MAC address also media access control address is a unique identifier designated with the NIC i.e, network interface controller. It allows communication between the networks and the system in which built - in - network cards are fitted inside that makes it distinguishable throughout the network. It is the address that is engraved on the network cards that can't be physically changed but many drivers allows to change it manually.
