RAID array allows you to store your data quite safely. For example, I will use 5 disks of 2 TB in RAID 5, while I will have 8 TB available. Yes, 2 TB less, but if 1 of the disks fails, I will not lose data. It is enough to replace the broken disk with a working one, and continue working. Of course, if two disks fail at once, nothing can be restored ... But the likelihood of this is very small.
ORICO 9558RU3 Docking station that allows you to use hard drives in RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 10, RAID 3, RAID 5 modes. In addition to RAID modes, disks can be defined both individually in the system and as one large disk, the capacity of which is the sum of all disks.
In RAID 3 or RAID 5 I got a read and write speed of 250 MB/s, in other modes 140 MB/s.
At the moment I haven't transferred my data to it yet, I'm testing it, simulating a disk failure, in general I want to make sure that it works perfectly. I know that ORICO makes excellent devices, but it doesn't hurt to double-check))
At the moment I like everything. I can easily edit video sources which are on this ORICO 9558RU3 which works in RAID 5 mode.
