SpringBoot is the most widely used application framework in Java, but did you know you can run your SpringBoot applications on AWS Lambda in as little as 10 minutes without changing a single line of code.

Historically, SpringBoot applications on Lambda have suffered from multi-second cold starts. This caused a challenge for customer facing API's.

At reInvent 2022 AWS announced Lambda SnapStart. A new feature for Lambda built to directly impact cold starts for Java based Lambda functions.

In this video, we take a look at how to enable SnapStart for your Lambda functions and the performance impact. In this case, a latency reduction from 7 seconds down to 700ms.
