Power distribution in Revit Electrical involves creating and managing electrical systems, including circuits, panels, and wiring, to accurately design and document electrical layouts for buildings.
Load Electrical Families: Ensure the required families for electrical fixtures, panels, devices, and conduits are loaded into the project. Use Revit's built-in libraries or custom families as needed.
Place Electrical Fixtures:
Use the Systems tab and select devices like receptacles, switches, or lights.
Place them in the model according to the layout plans.
Place Electrical Equipment:
Place electrical panels, transformers, and other equipment as required.
Assign Devices to Circuits:
Select electrical devices (e.g., receptacles or lighting fixtures).
Click Create Power System in the ribbon.
Assign the devices to an electrical panel.
Set Circuit Parameters:
Define circuit number, load classification, and demand factors in the Properties palette.
Connecting Circuits to Panels
Distribute Loads:
Open the panel schedule for the selected panel.
Ensure all connected circuits and loads are distributed correctly.
