Does Android Studio support Java 8 features? And Android Tools Developer Leaders say this will not be added to Studio at least nearest year. Seems it's not a problem for developers who want to write in functional style right now!

Today we'll talk about reactive functional programming for Android. We'll look how to change your code with RxJava to write flexible, resilient, asynchronous applications despite limitations of Java 7.

We'll look at examples of async and blocking observables, filtering, mapping, math operations, retrieving observables from network calls and applying schedulers for our reactive computations. And of course, some examples of live code :)
