Name: HTTP stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol. It is used on the internet for transferring information over the network. HTTPS stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure.
Encryption: HTTPS is HTTP protocol with encryption. HTTPS uses transport layer security (TLS) protocol to encrypt HTTP requests and responses.
Security: HTTPS is considered more secure than HTTP protocol. Primary motivation behind HTTPS protocol are authentication of the website, protection of privacy and integrity of the data exchanged in transit.
