In this video, I’ll show you exactly how to run a Java project in Visual Studio Code. If you're new to Java development or just getting started with VS Code, this step-by-step guide will help you set everything up quickly.
We begin by opening Visual Studio Code and installing the “Extension Pack for Java,” which bundles all the essential Java tools you need. Once the pack is installed, we create a new Java project using the built-in “Create Java Project” option in the File Explorer. I walk you through selecting “No Build Tools,” choosing a location for your project, and naming it.
After the project is created, we open the automatically generated Hello World file and run it using the built-in Run button. The terminal opens, and you’ll see the output of your program instantly.
By the end of this video, you’ll know how to set up Java extensions, create a Java project, and run your Java code inside Visual Studio Code without any hassle.
