Fix Network Problems on Kali Linux (VirtualBox)
Hello Guys...
I'm here to show you how to fix Network Related Problems on VBox.
.
Before we go further, I wanna make this clear that in VBox you can only
run ethernet connection. (Until or unless any external adapter is
connected).
i.e. If you are running wi-fi in your Host machine, then it will be
running as an ethernet connection on your VBox Machine(KALI LINUX).
Means that no matter what connection you use on your Windows Machine,
it will be running as an Ethernet connection on your Kali system.
However, the connections will be two (means one of your windows machine
and another of your Linux machine).
Steps -
1. On the top bar of VirtualBox, click on devices/Network/Network Settings.
Then choose Bridged Adapter and on 2nd option choose the adapter
that is connected to Internet on your HOST machine. OK
2. Now open the terminal and type cd /etc/NetworkManager
Hit Enter. (cd = Change Directory).
Then type in ls
(ls shows list of all files on a directory).
3. Now type in nano NetworkManager.conf
Now go down with arrow keys and change managed=true
Then press CTRL + O (to save) and CTRL + X (to exit).
That's it...
