In this video I explain data types. Every piece of data has a type -- some programming languages require that you declare the types of variables in advance. Others simply 'infer' the data type. Here I look at a strongly-typed language (Pascal) and a 'duck-typed' language (Ruby) to explain how these, and other languages, make use of data typing.
