Have you ever wondered what those insert effects are in Massive? They are essentially some creative effects that paved the way for a lot of the digital sounds that Massive can make. The most widely used Massive insert effects would probably be the distortion modules; Parabolic Shaper, Sine Shaper and Hard Clipper.
To use both of the Massive insert effects, you have to be aware of both the Routing Options tab as well as the signal flow of your sounds.
By default the Massive insert effects will be routed through both of the Filter output stages, however, most sounds that only use Filter 1 won't be able to use the 2nd Insert Effect because no sound is running through that part of the synth.
The easiest way to use both Massive insert effects is to click and activate the 2nd INS Effect in the Routing Tab to happen after the filtering stages, otherwise you have to activate Filter 2.
