For October is PHP Vegas meet up we had two amazing talks. We had Shane Mitchell speak about PHP application security which was a great talk that covered OWASP 10 vulnerabilities for PHP and some other things that you need to consider when using technologies surrounding PHP like FPM. Our other topic was accessing databases with PHP presented by Justin Yost. He talked about how to use vanilla PHP to interact with databases such as MySQL and others.
